In a statement, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Kiev authorities tried to attack areas in the Crimean Peninsula with 17 UAVs. However, all were destroyed by means of electronic warfare and air defense.

"14 UAVs were suppressed by electronic warfare, of which 11 UAVs fell in the Black Sea, and 3 others fell on the territory of Crimea, on the night of July 23," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

In a later press release, the Defense Ministry said that three more drones were also shot down by Russian air defense systems.

On the morning of July 24, a traffic jam occurred on the Crimea Bridge. Traffic on the bridge was temporarily suspended. About 650 cars were waiting in line at both ends of the bridge.

Earlier, on July 22, the Governor of Crimea announced that local authorities had evacuated residents within a 5 km radius after a UAV attacked an ammunition depot there, and also stopped traffic on the Crimea bridge.

Also early on July 24, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense forces had intercepted a Ukrainian UAV attack on the capital Moscow. The two UAVs were disabled by electronic warfare and fell to the ground.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said there were no casualties after the UAV crashed into two uninhabited buildings, and no major damage was reported.
