During the 2011-2016 term, the People's Council of the town held 15 sessions, including 13 regular sessions and 2 extraordinary sessions. At these sessions, the delegates demonstrated their spirit and responsibility to the voters, contributing to improving the quality of the sessions.

Through its sessions, the Town People's Council has issued 74 feasible and effective resolutions, contributing to the promotion of socio-economic development. As a result, the town's economy has seen positive and comprehensive changes across all aspects of social life. 28 out of 28 socio-economic, national defense, and security targets have been met or exceeded.

The economic growth rate reached 14.8%; per capita income was 30.09 million VND/person/year; 6 out of 6 communes met the standards for New Rural Development, and the town was recognized by the Prime Minister as having met the New Rural Development standards in 2015.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of commendation to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.

During the past term, the Town People's Council organized 5 regular questioning sessions and 103 meetings with voters, receiving 1,793 voter opinions; the voters' suggestions and recommendations were received for timely explanation and handling.

On this occasion, 2 individuals and 1 group were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and 9 groups and 22 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Town People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in the activities of the Town People's Council during the 2011-2016 term.
