Realforce has released four limited-edition mechanical Gundam keyboards, inspired by legendary machines such as the Z Gundam, Nu Gundam, and Sazabi.
A combination of Gundam and Realforce
Japanese keyboard brand Realforce has announced a collaboration with Mobile Suit Gundam to create a limited-edition series of Gundam keyboards. The collection includes four models, inspired by the Z Gundam, Hyaku Shiki from Zeta Gundam, and Nu Gundam and Sazabi from Char's Counterattack.
According to information from Realforce Japan, pre-orders will begin at the end of December. The official price has not yet been announced, but it is expected to be similar to the Realforce GX1 models, which are priced at around $250.
Topre's renowned technology
All Gundam keyboard models are based on the Realforce GX1 series, a wired tenkeyless keyboard that uses Topre switches – a renowned capacitive technology that provides a smooth and quiet typing feel. These are also the switches that made Happy Hacking Keyboard famous, a product highly sought after by the typing community.
Realforce has announced that both English and Japanese layout versions will be available, opening up the possibility that the collection will not be limited to the Japanese market. This is great news for Gundam fans worldwide.
