Phuc village (Con Cuong district) receives the title of achieving new rural standards.
This morning (October 26th), Don Phuc commune held a ceremony to announce the decision that Phuc village has achieved the new rural standard. This is also the first village in Don Phuc commune to achieve the new rural standard in 2023.
Located 10km from the center of Con Cuong district, Phuc village (Don Phuc commune) is predominantly inhabited by the Thai ethnic minority, with a total natural area of over 532 hectares, 206 households, and 912 inhabitants.
The villagers mainly engage in agriculture and forestry combined with livestock and poultry farming, with 367.6 hectares of land dedicated to forestry (100% of which is planted with acacia trees). In addition, they also work abroad, which provides the villagers with a stable income.
During the process of building new rural areas, the people of Phuc village demonstrated a high spirit of unity and solidarity in strictly adhering to all the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and the village's customs and conventions, thus successfully fulfilling the criteria for building new rural areas.
The material and spiritual lives of the people are increasingly improving, and the village is flourishing. Following the principle of "the State and the people working together," in 2023 the village received a total mobilized fund of over 963 million VND. In addition, the people donated land, contributed labor, sand, and gravel to concrete and expand 19 inter-village and intra-village/field roads with a total length of over 4,000 meters.
The village has a standard lighting system and an irrigation system that ensures water supply for all seasons. Average per capita income in 2023 reached over 42 million VND/year. Currently, only 20 households remain poor, accounting for 10.1%. 100% of students continue their vocational training and attend high school, and the percentage of "cultural families" reaches 91.9%. Phuc village has been recognized as a "cultural residential area" for three consecutive years from 2021 to 2023, and 100% of residents receive health insurance benefits as part of the 135 program for communes.
At the ceremony, the leaders of the Con Cuong District People's Committee presented the certificate recognizing Phuc village as meeting the standards of a new rural area. Individuals and collectives also received commendations from the district and commune levels for their outstanding achievements in implementing the national target program for building new rural areas.
