The Central Propaganda Department organized a Conference for Speakers on Building New Rural Areas.
(Baonghean.vn) - At the online conference of the Central Propaganda Department held on the morning of June 16, speakers were informed about the security and order situation; the field of new rural development; and the development of standards for cadres and Party members in the new period.
On the morning of June 16th, the Central Propaganda Department organized the nationwide online conference for speakers in June 2023. Comrade Phan Xuan Thuy, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, chaired the conference.
At the Nghe An Provincial Propaganda Department's meeting point, attendees included leaders from the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Propaganda Departments of districts, cities, and towns; provincial-level speakers; Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee; the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and other provincial-level organizations; and political centers of districts, cities, and towns.

The conference covered three topics: information on the incident that occurred in the two communes of Ea Tiêu and Ea Ktur, Cư Kuin district, Đắk Lắk province, in the early morning of June 11th; a presentation on "Developing agriculture and rural economy associated with building new rural areas towards ecological agriculture, modern agriculture and civilized farmers" by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; and a presentation on "Building ethical standards for cadres and Party members in the new era" by the Central Theoretical Council.

At the beginning of the conference, therapporteurWe heard from Major General Dang Hong Duc - Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security - who provided specific information about the incident that occurred in the two communes of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province, in the early morning of June 11th. This was an organized incident, with the perpetrators acting very aggressively, recklessly, and inhumanely, attacking and taking the lives of 9 people, including police officers, soldiers, and civilians, and throwing Molotov cocktails to burn down two commune People's Committee offices.
To date, law enforcement and the public have apprehended more than 50 suspects, including several ringleaders.
These actions must be condemned, therefore, the Ministry of Public Security urges citizens to continue to be vigilant, actively participate in reporting crimes, and provide information to help law enforcement agencies apprehend all perpetrators, ensuring safety and restoring stability to local life as soon as possible.
The speaker from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Tran Gia Long, Deputy Director of the Planning Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development), presented a thematic report on "Agricultural and rural economic development linked to construction."new rural areastowards ecological agriculture, modern agriculture, and civilized farmers."

In recent years, Vietnam's agricultural sector has achieved many successes: Localities have actively applied scientific and technological advancements to production, especially high-tech agriculture... As a result, Vietnam has not only ensured food security but has also become a major food exporter in the region and the world.
The field of new rural development has been achieving significant progress nationwide, meeting the needs of the people. By May 2023, 73.24% of communes nationwide had met the new rural development standards, 1,301 communes had achieved advanced new rural development status, and 139 communes had achieved model new rural development status.
However, the agricultural sector still faces many limitations. Specifically, despite the central government's attention and the creation of many specific mechanisms and policies, investment in agriculture by businesses has remained limited over the past five years.

In particular, there are mountainous districts that still lack new rural communes. Environmental management in rural areas still faces many shortcomings... The quality of healthcare in many rural areas is not guaranteed in terms of basic medical examination and treatment for the people. The situation of bumper harvests leading to price drops and the need to rescue agricultural products still occurs in many regions; the competitiveness of domestic agricultural products compared to foreign products is still not high...
Finally, the conference heard a presentation by Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Linh on the topic "Building ethical standards for cadres and Party members in the new era".
Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Van Linh emphasized: "Establishing standards"revolutionary ethics"Officials and Party members in the new period" is a practical activity aimed at implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, and the resolutions and conclusions of the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat on Party building and rectification in general, and Party building in terms of ethics in particular.
