The Provincial Fundraising Committee for the Poor and Relief encourages and supports people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

Over two days (October 15th and 16th), a delegation from the Nghe An Provincial Fund for the Poor and Relief Campaign Committee, led by Colonel Dinh Bat Van - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Commander of the Provincial Military Command, visited and encouraged localities affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods.

The delegation included Colonel Phan Quoc Hung, Deputy Head of Political Affairs, Provincial Military Command, along with representatives from relevant departments and agencies.

During a visit to the people of Tri Le and Muong Quang communes, Colonel Dinh Bat Van - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, and the delegation shared their condolences regarding the losses and damages suffered by the local authorities and people after the natural disaster.

Recently, successive storms No. 3, No. 5, and No. 10, with their dangerous intensity, long-lasting impact, and wide-ranging effects, have caused severe damage across all communes, wards, coastal areas, plains, midlands, and mountainous regions of the province.

Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, and upholding the national spirit of solidarity, mutual support, and helping those in need, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial Relief Committee of Nghe An have received tens of billions of VND.

In addition, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command mobilized thousands of officers, soldiers, militia members, and hundreds of vehicles to coordinate with units of the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 4 stationed in the area to urgently assist the people in overcoming the consequences and ensuring the safety of people and property.

The Provincial Military Command also distributed tens of tons of essential supplies, organized medical examinations and dispensed medicine to the people, and carried out disinfection spraying to prevent the spread of disease. Through these efforts, they promptly encouraged and shared the difficulties, helping the people to stabilize their lives as soon as possible.

On this occasion, the working group of the Fundraising Committee for the Poor and Relief of Nghe An province handed over financial support to the people and authorities of Tri Le and Muong Quang communes, with 500 million VND allocated to each commune.

The Nghe An Provincial Military Command presented 20 gift packages to families severely affected by natural disasters in Tri Le and Muong Quang communes; and donated 11 computer sets to schools in Xuan Lam commune. The delegation also visited and encouraged the following units: the Quy Chau Area 3 Defense Command, the Tri Le Commune Military Command, and the Tri Le Border Guard Post.
