A gang of robbers specializes in 'stalking' couples in love.
(Baonghean.vn) - The victims of this gang were mainly couples in love sitting and talking in secluded places at night. The total value of property stolen in the 8 robberies was nearly 28 million VND.
The People's Court of Quynh Luu District recently held a trial for robbery against six individuals residing in two communes of Quynh Luu District: Chu Quoc Tuan, Nguyen Van Huong, and Ho Van Quang from Quynh Yen commune; and Dau Cao Dung, Nguyen Ngoc Quang, and Nguyen Van Cau from An Hoa commune.

According to the indictment from the People's Procuracy of Quynh Luu District: Between mid-June and mid-July 2016, the suspects committed eight robberies in Quynh Luu District. Their modus operandi involved riding motorcycles to deserted roads, searching for people carrying valuables to rob. Using knives to threaten victims, they stole all their money and mobile phones.
The victims in these cases were mainly couples in love sitting and talking in secluded places at night. The total value of the stolen property in the eight robberies was nearly 28 million VND. What is noteworthy about these cases is that the perpetrators used force, threatening the victims with knives, leaving them unable to resist and even seriously injured.
At the trial, the defendants admitted their crimes. The People's Court of Quynh Luu District sentenced the ringleader, Chu Quoc Tuan, to 10 years in prison; Nguyen Van Huong and Dau Cao Dung to 5 years in prison; Nguyen Ngoc Quang to 3 years in prison; and Nguyen Van Cau and Ho Van Quang to 3 years of suspended sentences.
