The administrative unit code table issued by the Prime Minister in 2025 will serve as the basis for candidates to fill out their registration information for the 2026 high school graduation exam.
The 2026 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 11th and 12th, two weeks earlier than in previous years. Candidates can register for the exam from April 24th to 5 PM on May 5th. The results will be announced at 8 AM on July 1st.
Candidates taking the high school graduation exam must take four exams. Two subjects are compulsory: Mathematics and Literature. The remaining two subjects are chosen by the candidates from among those they have studied at school, including: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economics and Law Education, Informatics, Agricultural Technology, Industrial Technology, and Foreign Language. The Ministry of Education and Training has not released sample exam questions for this year's exam.
The formula for calculating the high school graduation score in 2026 is as follows: exam scores account for 50%, academic transcript scores from grades 10, 11, and 12 account for 50%, and then bonus points (if any) are added.
Compared to previous years, the exam results remain consistent. Approximately one million students take the high school graduation exam each year, and more than 50% of them are admitted to university based on their exam scores.
