While crossing the road, the woman was run over and killed by a tractor-trailer.
The accident occurred at 7:27 a.m. on January 9th on National Highway 46, in the section passing through Nam Thai commune, Nam Dan district.
According to footage from a resident's security camera along the road, at the time of the incident, a woman was walking her bicycle across the road directly in front of a tractor-trailer. Due to entering a blind spot, the tractor-trailer driver did not notice the woman's presence and continued driving, resulting in the woman being dragged under the vehicle.
After hearing a scream, the driver immediately stopped the car to check and discovered the woman and her bicycle under the vehicle. The victim was seriously injured and died on the spot.
The woman's identity has been confirmed as Ms. Nguyen Thi Q., 60 years old, a local resident.
The incident is currently under investigation by the authorities.
