The retirement age in 2025 will continue to be adjusted according to the new roadmap, with an increase of 3 months for men and 4 months for women each year.
Legal basis for retirement age
According to Clause 2, Article 169 of the 2019 Labor Code, the retirement age under normal conditions will be gradually raised to 62 years for men in 2028 and 60 years for women in 2035.
From January 1, 2021, the starting retirement age is stipulated as follows:
Male: 60 years and 3 months old.
Female: 55 years and 4 months old.
Each subsequent year, the retirement age increases by 3 months for men and 4 months for women until the prescribed age is reached.

Specific regulations are stipulated in Decree 135/2020/ND-CP.
Article 4 of Decree 135/2020/ND-CP outlines the detailed roadmap for application to workers under normal conditions:
Male:The age limit gradually increases until the person reaches 62 years old in 2028.
Female:The age limit will gradually increase until the person reaches 60 years old in 2035.

Male workers:The retirement age in 2025 will be 61 years and 3 months.
Female workers:The retirement age in 2025 will be 56 years and 4 months.
