British newspaper presents 4 scenarios to end the Ukraine conflict
The Times considers Ukraine's defeat as one of four scenarios to end the conflict that has lasted nearly three years.

According to RIA Novosti on January 26, the British newspaper The Times said that the conflict in Ukraine has four scenarios to end, including Ukraine's failure.
“Although Ukraine is not yet defeated, it is exhausted,” wrote The Times.
According to the publication, the first scenario for ending the conflict is the defeat of Ukraine, which will be possible if US President Donald Trump stops supporting Kiev.
However, the Times believes that the US leader will be “wary of letting such an outcome happen” to avoid being compared to his predecessor Joe Biden – a leader who was criticized for his “clumsy” withdrawal from Afghanistan.
The second scenario also involves a US withdrawal of aid, but instead of a military defeat, one considers a “bad peace deal” that would lead to the dismemberment of Ukraine.
Under the third scenario, the parties would be able to agree on a ceasefire as an interim phase before signing a peace agreement and ending the conflict.
Describing the fourth scenario, The Times relies on holding peace talks in which “Ukraine would enter from a position of strength,” but admits that Russia is achieving significant success, and without support from the US, Kiev’s dominance at the negotiating table is impossible.
“Without American support, Ukraine would have no chance of being in a position to negotiate a peace deal from a position of strength,” the Times stressed.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump expressed hope that negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Ukraine could take place even sooner than in the next 6 months. Earlier, Mr. Trump promised that he would be able to reach a solution to the conflict in Ukraine through negotiations.
Russia believes that ending the conflict is too complicated a problem, compared to the solution of ending it “within 24 hours”.
