(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 26, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department held a regular December reporter conference; implementing Directive 100-CT/TW of the Central Secretariat on public opinion and summarizing oral propaganda work in 2016.

Attending the conference were provincial and district-level reporters, affiliated party committees, standing representatives of district, city and town party committees, and directors of political training centers. At the conference, comrade Pham Van Son - Head of the Propaganda Information Department, Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, reported on some current events in the country and the province; summarized the socio-economic development situation of the province in 2016; socio-economic development tasks of the province in 2017; and current events of some countries in the world related to and affecting Vietnam.

Next, he presented a summary report on oral propaganda and reporter activities in 2016. Accordingly, all levels from the province to the district have maintained regular monthly reporter conferences. This is an activity to provide source information including official and relatively comprehensive content, ensuring the political orientation of the Central Propaganda Department and the Provincial Party Committee in all fields.

Comrade Tran Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department concluded the conference, emphasizing the effective implementation of Conclusion 100-KL/TW of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat; noting a number of tasks that need to be implemented in the period before, during and after the 2017 Lunar New Year.

Through the activities of the reporters, cadres, party members and people have been aware of their duties and determined to firmly protect the independence, sovereignty and sacred territorial integrity of the Fatherland; trust in the leadership of the Party and State among cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the whole province has been significantly enhanced.

Along with that, the conference also pointed out some shortcomings that need to be overcome such as: some propaganda contents and methods are not rich; the delivery of information to the grassroots in some places has not met the requirements; the activities of news clubs in some units are not effective...

Regarding the direction of activities in 2017, the conference emphasized the improvement of the quality and quantity of monthly reporters' conferences at all levels; including improving the quality of news clubs; consolidating and training the team of reporters; strongly innovating the method of oral propaganda in a fast, sensitive, and practical direction to contribute to solving pressing issues in social life; strengthening the implementation of Conclusion 100-KL/TW of the Central Secretariat...

Regarding the implementation of Conclusion 100-KL/TW dated August 18, 2014 of the Central Party Secretariat on innovation and improvement of the quality of investigation, grasping and researching public opinion, the conference said that in addition to organizing the dissemination and direction of the implementation of the content of Conclusion 100-KL/TW, in the coming time, it will organize and advise on organizing conferences to disseminate to Party committees and Party organizations at all levels to serve professional work.
