Ha Tinh Newspaper celebrates 60th anniversary

On September 2, 1962, on the 17th anniversary of the National Day of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, Ha Tinh Newspaper published its first issue. At the end of 1975, implementing the policy of merging Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, Ha Tinh Newspaper and Nghe An Newspaper were under the same roof as Nghe Tinh Newspaper. By August 1991, Ha Tinh province was re-established, Ha Tinh Newspaper returned to its name from the early days of its establishment. The entire leadership, staff, and reporters during the province separation period were only 17 people. Overcoming many difficulties and shortages during the process of merging and separating the provinces, the team of staff, reporters, editors, and technicians always united and joined hands to build the newspaper to become stronger and stronger.

In particular, alongside the development of printed publications, on September 2, 2009, the Ha Tinh Electronic Newspaper was born, marking a new milestone in the development of the Party newspaper in the heroic homeland of Ha Tinh.

During 6 decades of construction and development, Ha Tinh Newspaper has constantly strived to promote the tradition of solidarity, creativity, determination to innovate, focusing on investing in equipment, and innovating production processes in a professional and modern direction. The Convergence Newsroom model with the concentration of intelligence, creativity, and science in the business process that Ha Tinh Newspaper has operated since April 2018 is one of the first Convergence Newsrooms in the Party newspaper system nationwide.

Currently, the Ha Tinh Newspaper is published 6 times a week; the Ha Tinh Electronic Newspaper is strongly developing according to the trend of multimedia and multi-platform, continuously updating information with products in new formats such as: E-magazine, Longfom, Lens, Infographic, internet television, electronic audio newspapers... In addition to the main publications, the editorial office also develops information channels on social networks such as Facebook, Zalo, YouTube, Tiktok,... creating extended arms to widely propagate the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws to all classes of people and meet the information needs of all audiences and readers.

In the coming time, Ha Tinh Newspaper will continue to focus on propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies to cadres, party members and the people in the best and most effective way; resolutely renew thinking according to the trend of modern press development; improve the quality of publications, become the province's multimedia media agency in providing official information, meeting the requirements of leadership, direction and administration of the Party Committee, government and the expectations of readers.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association acknowledged: Over the past 60 years, along with the press nationwide, Ha Tinh Newspaper with its mettle, intelligence, spirit of innovation and constant creativity, has affirmed its important position on the ideological and cultural front of the Party, worthy of the trust of the Party Committee, government, local people and the press public; making an important contribution to the development of the province, while also creating a lively practical environment for the team of journalists in the editorial office to practice their political mettle, professional qualifications and increasingly improve.

Comrade Le Quoc Minh suggested that in the coming time, Ha Tinh Newspaper should continue to focus on innovating and further improving the quality of publications, increasing the application of modern journalism methods, new journalism technology, attractive and oriented information, proactively reaching out to readers, bringing information, especially in-depth information to readers through many different channels and methods to expand the readership. The newspaper needs to promptly detect, propagate, encourage and praise good people, good deeds, exemplary groups and individuals; at the same time, fight against false arguments, corrupt, negative and wasteful behaviors. Thereby, continuously bringing Ha Tinh's Party newspaper to reap new achievements.
