US media reports: Iran could attack Israel in the next few days.
A potential Iranian attack on Israel would be in retaliation for the assassination of the political leader of the Hamas movement.
According to Komsomolskaya Pravda, the Axios newspaper reported that Israeli intelligence has issued a warning that Iran could attack Israel in the coming days, reportedly in connection with the upcoming talks between Hamas and Israel on August 15th.
According to the information received, the attack may have been in retaliation for the assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh.
Earlier, Iran's acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Qani stated that Israel would suffer heavy losses if Ismail Haniyeh were killed. He also emphasized that Iran has considerable capability to initiate military action if the situation demands it.
Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps Deputy Commander Ali Fadavi declared that they would soon implement the "order to severely punish Israel" issued by the Supreme Leader.
General Ali Fadavi declared that the Axis Alliance in the Middle East would coordinate and strengthen its sanctions against Israel "more than ever before" and "aim for the end of the occupying forces." He said Iran has an obligation to avenge the bloodshed "after the bitter events on its territory."
Observers believe that Iran's delay in retaliating for the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh may be related to the proposal to hold the next round of talks between Hamas and Israel on August 15. Mediators suggested the two sides hold discussions in Cairo or Doha; Israel agreed, while Hamas is considering the proposal.
