The publication stated: “The immediate catalyst for collapse would be the war in Ukraine. This would lead to a split within the North Atlantic alliance, and European nations are not prepared for such an event.”
The article notes that Europe's security interests and the priorities of the American Republican Party are very different. Therefore, Europe needs to prepare for an independent policy should Donald Trump come to power.
"This would make the US a less reliable ally for Europe, and they must be prepared for such a turning point. If Washington stops funding Ukraine, Europe will not be able to compensate for the lost aid," the journalist wrote.
