US media reports: Ukrainian military complains of 'abandoning' attitude from the West.
(Baonghean.vn) - According to experts, soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are very dissatisfied with the unfair attitude of the West towards them. These soldiers want the conflict to end soon so they can return home.

According to Ria Novosti, Melinda Haring, an analyst at the Atlantic Council, shared in an interview with Business Insider (USA) that Ukrainian soldiers are complaining about the West's attitude forcing them to fight without air support.
"We cannot continue without air support. You cannot ask us for this," analyst Melinda Haring quoted Ukrainian soldiers as saying. She had just returned from the Ukrainian battlefield after interviewing Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines.
According to Haring, Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers are accusing Ukrainian servicemen of endangering their lives. "You can't ask us to fight in a way that you yourselves wouldn't fight," a Ukrainian soldier told Haring.
Analyst Haring said that Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers also accused Ukrainian society of "not taking the conflict seriously." They argued that a small segment of the population was worried, while the majority were "enjoying life" in the background.
Haring also stated that another major issue is the time off from the battlefield. Soldiers are only allowed 30 days of leave per year, and each leave period is limited to a maximum of 10 days. This means that, since February 2022, when the conflict broke out, most "they haven't been able to see their families." According to Haring, this is a source of tension, even though the Ukrainian soldiers are "resilient, tough, and determined."
The Russia-Ukraine conflict has inflicted heavy losses on both sides. According to expert Haring, those losses are clearly felt on the front lines. The soldiers who have survived so far all long for it to end.
"One thing that surprises me is that we have complex debates about the question: 'What is victory?' But when you go and talk to the soldiers, they just want to go home. They want peace and they want to go home," analyst Melinda Haring shared.

Analysts warn of mass desertion within the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
