Nghe An Newspaper: Courage, intelligence, and continued innovation.

(Baonghean) - Nghe An Newspaper was born amidst the flames of war, during a period when the province was sharing the burden with the South, providing manpower and resources to the front lines. Over 55 years of development and growth, Nghe An Newspaper has overcome countless difficulties, maintained its revolutionary spirit, and persevered with its journalistic philosophy, rightfully earning its place as the mouthpiece of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee and a reliable source of information for cadres, Party members, and the people of Nghe An.

For the past 55 years, Nghe An Newspaper has consistently fulfilled its mission of disseminating information, guiding public opinion, and providing timely and accurate information to readers. It has fostered unity and consensus among cadres and Party members, and garnered the support and approval of all segments of the population. The newspaper has always truthfully and objectively reflected the realities of life, conveying the policies and guidelines of the Party, the State, and Nghe An province in an easily understandable way, inspiring cadres, Party members, and the general public to support and implement them effectively.

Nghe An Newspaper is also a place where readers can express their thoughts and aspirations, along with heartfelt suggestions and opinions to help the province develop faster and more sustainably, and improve social life. Nghe An Newspaper is one of the newspapers with integrity and a firm stance, delving into pressing social issues, reflecting them constructively, and actively fighting against corruption.

Nghe An Newspaper has also demonstrated many efforts in highlighting good people and good deeds, encouraging and motivating the people to enthusiastically study, work, and defend the Fatherland. The team of reporters, editors, and staff of the newspaper are increasingly well-trained, tempered through practical life and work, possessing a firm grasp of political theory, good professional skills, and exemplary professional ethics.

Thanks to this, Nghe An Newspaper has won 9 National Journalism Awards, with many high-quality articles that have become widely disseminated journalistic works and have truly left a lasting impression on readers. To date, the newspaper has print and online editions, as well as various other forms of communication. The content on the newspaper always adheres to its principles and objectives, closely following the guidance and direction of the Party, the State, and the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee. In the context of intense information competition, Nghe An Newspaper has a very high circulation compared to Party newspapers of other localities and the Central Government (16,500 copies/day), and the number of readers of the online newspaper is also very large (approximately 150,000 visits per day).

Along with its growth, the newspaper has demonstrated social responsibility, developing many activities beyond the printed page, especially social welfare activities. Responding to the demands of the new situation, the newspaper has undergone positive changes such as implementing a converged newsroom model, innovating content, format, and presentation methods. As a result, Nghe An Newspaper has become more attractive and has drawn more readers.

The tireless efforts of the newspaper have been recognized by the Party and the State. The title of Hero of Labor in the Renovation Period, which the newspaper was honored to receive in 2015, is entirely deserved, reflecting the immense contributions of generations of cadres, employees, and reporters of Nghe An Newspaper.

The Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has always placed great trust and expectations in Nghe An Newspaper, as well as other media outlets in the province. With this belief and expectation for the newspaper's development, I would like to emphasize a few points and request that the Editorial Board carefully consider and implement them:

Firstly, we request that the newspaper adhere strictly to its stated purpose and seriously comply with the guidance and direction of the Party, the State, and the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.

Secondly, we propose that the newspaper continue to innovate its content and format in print, meeting the demands of the new situation; pay attention to investing in the development of online newspapers and other forms of information and propaganda on social media; develop other forms of media, promote activities beyond the print media, and strive to become a strong media organization.

Thirdly, we suggest that the newspaper continue to do a good job in planning, nurturing, and training its team of reporters and managers, so that its reporters, editors, and managers are both professionally competent and deeply knowledgeable in political theory.

Fourth, and finally, but also a very important task, we propose that the newspaper fulfill its function as a Party newspaper, demonstrating its integrity and standing on the Party's viewpoint to explain, guide, and shape public opinion on all issues, including the most difficult and complex ones. The newspaper needs to connect with experts and dedicated collaborators, building forums to contribute to the province's development. This includes promptly highlighting good people and good deeds through emulation movements, and doing a good job of educating the younger generation.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Nghe An Newspaper and congratulate the newspaper on its 55th anniversary. We wish Nghe An Newspaper continued strength, wisdom, and the trust and affection of the officials, Party members, and people of Nghe An province.
