Nghe An Newspaper lays flowers at Kim Lien Historical Site.
On the morning of February 3rd, to commemorate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3rd, 1930 - February 3rd, 2025), the staff, reporters, and employees of Nghe An Newspaper laid flowers and offered incense at the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site in Nam Dan district.
The ceremony was attended by Comrade Ngo Duc Kien - Secretary of the Party Committee and Editor-in-Chief; the Deputy Editors-in-Chief, and all the staff, reporters, and employees of Nghe An Newspaper.
Before the sacred spirit of President Ho Chi Minh - the brilliant leader of our Party and people, the great revolutionary journalist and mentor of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism, the staff of Nghe An Newspaper respectfully offer him a beautiful bouquet of flowers and fragrant incense.
In 2024, patriotic emulation movements were effectively implemented by the staff, reporters, and employees of Nghe An Newspaper, creating significant changes and contributing to the promotion of the agency's activities and the excellent completion of its tasks; many targets set in the Resolution of the Conference of Officials, Civil Servants, and Employees in 2024 were achieved and exceeded the plan.
The Party Committee of Nghe An Newspaper has closely followed the resolutions and directives of higher authorities, focusing on innovation, creativity, and flexibility in leading and directing the implementation of political tasks. The focus has been on improving the quality of publications, developing many digital media products, ensuring timely and engaging information, and contributing to the effective performance of propaganda and public opinion guidance in the province.
Trade unions, youth organizations, and journalist associations have actively and enthusiastically participated in practical and effective movements and activities, receiving excellent performance evaluations from superiors. Social work has also received special attention from the Party Committee, Editorial Board, staff, and reporters of Nghe An Newspaper.
In its publishing activities, Nghe An Newspaper continues to develop in the direction of multi-platform journalism and comprehensively implements the "Comprehensive Development Plan for Nghe An Newspaper associated with digital transformation in the period 2022 - 2027, with consideration to 2030" issued by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.
In particular, on the occasion of the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth, Nghe An Newspaper, in coordination with the Management Board of the Kim Lien National Special Historical Site and the Department of Culture and Sports, developed and launched a special news and data page "President Ho Chi Minh with his homeland Nghe An"; and in coordination with the Soviet Museum, launched a special page "The Nghe Tinh Soviet Uprising 1930-1931" in anticipation of the 95th anniversary of the Nghe Tinh Soviet Uprising.
To effectively publicize the Party Congresses at all levels, from the beginning of 2025, Nghe An Newspaper will launch four new sections in its print and online editions, including: Streamlining the apparatus; Results of the Party Congresses at all levels; New policies; and Combating waste.
In 2024, the staff of Nghe An Newspaper was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Central Propaganda Department for "Outstanding achievements in information and propaganda in fulfilling political tasks in 2023"; and a Certificate of Merit from the People's Committee of Nghe An province for "Outstanding achievements in propaganda work for Tet for the Poor in 2024 and charitable activities in 2023".
In addition, 3 collectives received Certificates of Commendation from the Provincial People's Committee, 2 individuals received Certificates of Commendation from the Prime Minister, and 29 individuals received Certificates of Commendation and Awards from the Provincial People's Committee and various ministries and agencies.
Regarding journalism awards, in 2024, Nghe An Newspaper won a total of 63 journalism awards, an increase of 12 awards compared to 2023. Of these, 19 awards were organized by central ministries and agencies, and 44 awards were organized by the province and provincial-level units.
Offering incense in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh, the staff of Nghe An Newspaper pledged to continue innovating in form and content to effectively disseminate key tasks, focusing on major themes and important holidays in 2025; improving the quality of publications, expanding the development of special pages and topics, comprehensively innovating the online newspaper, and resolutely building Nghe An Newspaper into a more developed publication worthy of the title of Hero of Labor in the đổi mới (renovation) period.
On this occasion, Nghe An Newspaper also organized a meeting to celebrate the beginning of the new year and to plan its professional tasks for the coming period.
