Some small memories

More than half a century ago, because my father was a cadre, we were reading Nghe An newspaper while we were in high school. The newspaper came out once a week, 4 pages, small size. On holidays and Tet, the newspaper often printed Nghe An in red, the rest was still black. Due to the printing technology at that time, the pictures were blurry, so we had to imagine while reading. At that time, books and newspapers were rare, so whenever there was a newspaper, we often read it to our grandfather...

Whenever I read the newspaper and came across familiar authors, I felt a lot of admiration. That is why, when I was in middle school and high school, I wrote for newspapers. I wrote a lot, but in 1972, Thieu Nien Tien Phong newspaper printed a few word puzzles, in 1976, Nghe An newspaper printed a small article, I was very happy. When I was young, I really wanted to be a journalist, but due to lack of information and guidance, my dream did not come true!

Working as a cadre, learning from those who came before me, every morning I often read the newspapers. Any articles that are necessary and related to the district, I read immediately. I still keep the habit of saving good articles, valuable documents in the newspapers and the issues that have my articles.

In the district, every month we have a report on the situation of Party newspaper distribution in the area; strictly direct the ordering and implementation of Party newspapers, and respond to the newspapers. Every quarter we have information on the situation, commend units that do well, remind and have solutions for places that do not do well.

One time, a commune was preparing to celebrate its founding anniversary. The Party Secretary invited me to write an article about the commune. On the day off, I invited a veteran reporter from Nghe An Newspaper to come and accompany the reporter to the commune, to the newly built projects, to meet with many senior party members, retired cadres, full-time cadres, and then to work with the commune leaders. A rather elaborate and detailed article, with photos, was published on the front page of Nghe An Newspaper.

The more you love it, the more you want Nghe An Newspaper to be more colorful and practical.

Whenever I go out of the province, I often buy newspapers from other provinces to read. To be fair, Nghe An Newspaper can be proud to be one of the local newspapers that excels in both content and form. Nghe An is the first province to have printed newspapers, electronic newspapers; daily newspapers up to 8 pages, beautiful form, printed in large quantities. The newspaper's content is quite wide and rich, with many "hard" columns, many quality articles, leaving an impression on readers. The management team, reporters, editors are steadfast, dedicated, sharp, always keeping "home ethics". There are many famous journalists, managers, scientists in and outside the province who collaborate and write articles for the newspaper. The newspaper deserves the noble title - Heroic Labor Unit in the renovation period.

The ever-increasing demand for newspapers to be constantly dynamic, creative and innovative. Here are a few small ideas:

Newspaper "good but must be strong":The Party newspaper is the voice of the Party committee, the government, and the forum of the people. For negative cases that have been concluded and handled, there should be investigative reports and articles detailing the cases - that is the area that many people follow. I think that is also a fact, leaving practical lessons for cadres and party members. There are some in the newspaper, but not many, not commensurate with the fight against corruption and negativity in the country, in the province and the information needs of cadres, party members and the people.

There should be more special pages and issues:Previously, Nghe An Newspaper had special pages on a certain industry or district. The special pages had articles by reporters (usually reputable reporters), and articles by local and unit leaders. The newspaper should restore and improve the quality of this section. When provincial leaders have a working schedule or on the occasion of a traditional day of a local or unit, reporters will attend and report. On those occasions, instead of simply reporting and reporting, the newspaper should invite good experts and journalists to coordinate with the local or unit to publish special issues and special pages. The content, in addition to the good and the good, needs to thoroughly analyze the potentials and the shortcomings, and focus on solving them. If this can be done, the newspaper's position will be raised.

Need more articles from provincial leaders:The newspaper is not only a forum for the Party Committee and the people of the province, but also an effective means of leadership for leaders. Those who work in the newspaper and read it will surely not forget the years when Nhan Dan newspaper had short, powerful articles "Things to do immediately" by NVL - the pen name of General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh. At that time, people photocopied and passed them around to read. The social impact was huge, many cases were handled quickly. The articles made the "insiders" mentioned worried and took immediate action. Cadres, party members, and the people were excited, receptive, and confident.

Daily newspapers are not only spiritual food but also sharp and effective ideological weapons. Instead of long theoretical articles, if the leader chooses urgent and prominent contents and issues, "thinks deeply, speaks directly, writes briefly, and directs decisively", it will create "real" and decisive actions in the province. It does not need to be elaborate, literary, or theoretical, sometimes it is to convey the message of direction to a sector, an organization, a locality or a number of individuals that are already in the document, but when it is brought to public opinion, there will be more supervision from the community, expanding democracy. The effectiveness will be increased.

The "Response to the newspaper" regime should be strictly implemented:Do not let the incident reported by the newspaper sink into "creepy silence" again.

Learning good things from our predecessors is right and should be done, there is nothing to be "ashamed" of?

Nghe An Newspaper should organize reading and following newspaper competitions:The public plays an important role in the vitality of the newspaper. Every year, the newspaper should organize competitions. The content should be suitable for the majority of readers. The public should give comments and vote on interesting columns and articles, and there should be summaries and awards to encourage writers and readers./.
