Nghe An Newspaper launches campaign to support Tet for the poor 2016

(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to the appeal for support for the poor to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2016 (Year of the Monkey) from the Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, on the morning of December 30th, Nghe An Newspaper launched a campaign to support the poor in celebrating Tet. Ms. Pham Thi Hong Toan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper, participated in the launching ceremony.

Comrade Ho Thi Ngan - Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Nghe An Newspaper - read the appeal letter from the Provincial Party Secretary and launched the fundraising campaign.

Comrade Pham Hong Toan - Editor-in-Chief, along with other members of the Editorial Board, participated in the fundraising.

At the launching ceremony, a representative of the Nghe An Newspaper Editorial Board read the appeal letter from the Provincial Party Secretary; and also reviewed the results of Nghe An Newspaper's assistance to poor communes in 2015. Over the past year, Nghe An Newspaper has also played a good role as a bridge between compassionate hearts and charitable funds and those in particularly difficult circumstances and families in distress.

By emphasizing the significance of the campaign to support the poor in celebrating the Lunar New Year, the Editorial Board of Nghe An Newspaper calls on all staff, reporters, and employees of Nghe An Newspaper to donate at least one day's salary each to support the poor in celebrating the Lunar New Year.

Representatives from various departments, staff, reporters, and technicians of Nghe An Newspaper participated in supporting the Tet (Lunar New Year) campaign for the poor.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the staff and employees of Nghe An Newspaper voluntarily donated 16.4 million VND on the spot to support the poor in celebrating Tet (Lunar New Year) 2016.
