Nghe An Newspaper pays tribute to martyred journalists and former Editors-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper.
On the morning of June 12th, a delegation from Nghe An Newspaper, led by Comrade Ngo Duc Kien - Secretary of the Party Committee and Editor-in-Chief, visited Thanh Chuong district, Thai Hoa town, and Do Luong district to offer incense to fallen journalists and former leaders of Nghe An Newspaper.
This is one of the meaningful activities to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day on June 21st (1925-2025), aiming to express gratitude to generations of journalists throughout history who have contributed to building the revolutionary press in general and the development of Nghe An Newspaper in particular.
During the brutal years of the resistance war against the US, amidst the rain of bombs and bullets, there were people who silently dedicated themselves, wielding their pens like guns, ready to sacrifice themselves for the revolutionary propaganda mission. The two journalists and martyrs, Dang Loan and Tran Van Thong, are such examples – soldiers on the information front of western Nghe An province.
