Due to the influence of the storm's circulation, as of 8am on July 17, Hoang Mai town was experiencing heavy rain and strong winds. Many civil works were blown away by the wind, signs, shops, kiosks, houses, and billboards were knocked down by the gusts.

Most of the trees were uprooted and broken, obstructing traffic and paralyzing some routes such as Provincial Road 537B from National Highway 1A down to Con Temple, Quynh Xuan intersection.

More seriously, the storm killed one person due to a collapsed house. The deceased was Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai, born in 1969, residing in Tan Thanh block, Quynh Thien ward.

According to initial statistics, some fishing boats were slightly damaged while anchoring. Currently, Hoang Mai town is implementing many measures and directing people to overcome the consequences./.
