Typhoon Nongfa (Typhoon No. 6) is moving inland into Ha Tinh and Quang Tri provinces.

On the morning of August 30th, the tropical depression in the sea northwest of the Hoang Sa archipelago strengthened into typhoon number 6, internationally known as Nongfa.

By 10:00 AM, the storm's center was approximately 120km east of northern Quang Tri, with winds reaching level 8, gusting to levels 10-11, and moving at a speed of 20-25km/h in a west-northwest direction.

Forecasts indicate that by late afternoon/evening on August 30th, the storm's center will move inland from southern Ha Tinh to northern Quang Tri, with wind speeds generally at level 6-7, near the storm's center at level 8, and gusts at level 9-10.

Gusts of wind can be 3-4 levels stronger than hurricane winds, reaching levels 11-12 in some places, causing roofs to be ripped off, tree branches to break, and the sea to become extremely rough, posing a particular danger to boats and fish cages along the coast.
