After stealing a resident's motorbike worth nearly 50 million VND, the two apartment building security guards returned to their workplace and received a report from the victim, but they couldn't escape the watchful eyes of the security cameras.

On May 27th, the Thu Duc District Police in Ho Chi Minh City announced that they are holding Chau Luong Sang (18 years old) and Nguyen Van Chien (19 years old, both residing in Dinh Quan District, Dong Nai Province) in custody for investigation into the crime of "theft of property".

According to initial investigations, Sang and Luong were security guards for Viet An Security Company (located on Nguyen Huu Canh Street, Ward 22, Binh Thanh District) and were assigned to guard an apartment building in Linh Dong Ward, Thu Duc District.

The two suspects are Chau Luong Sang and Nguyen Van Chien.

At noon on May 21st, Chien found a parking access card at the apartment building and gave it to Sang to check. Sang confirmed that the card was still valid. The two then discussed a plan to use the card to steal a resident's parked car.

That evening, after work, the two went to retrieve an Ecxiter motorbike belonging to Mr. Truong Nguyen Hoai B., a resident of the aforementioned apartment building. When they reached the access control counter, taking advantage of the busy traffic, the security guard didn't have time to observe them properly. He only heard the "beep" sound from Sang's access card being swiped, so he let them pass without checking the license plate or identifying the owner.

After retrieving the motorbike, the two took it to another apartment building in Phu Nhuan District to park it, then returned to their apartment the next morning to work as usual. Even when Mr. B. discovered the theft and reported it to the security guard, Sang and Chien remained remarkably calm and recorded the incident.

However, due to the lack of a satisfactory resolution, on May 24th, the victim reported the incident to the local police. Through investigation and review of the apartment building's security camera system, the police discovered Chiến and Sang's involvement and summoned them to the station. Faced with irrefutable evidence, both admitted to stealing Mr. B's motorbike.

The Thu Duc District Police have recovered the vehicle in order to return it to its owner. According to the property valuation, the vehicle is worth approximately 45 million VND.
