After stealing a motorbike worth nearly 50 million VND from a resident, two apartment building security guards returned to work and received the victim's report, but none of them could escape the "magic eye" of the camera.

On May 27, Thu Duc District Police, Ho Chi Minh City, announced that they were temporarily detaining Chau Luong Sang (18 years old) and Nguyen Van Chien (19 years old, both residing in Dinh Quan District, Dong Nai Province) to investigate the act of "theft of property".

According to initial investigation results, Sang and Luong are security guards of Viet An Security Company (located on Nguyen Huu Canh Street, Ward 22, Binh Thanh District) and were assigned to guard an apartment building in Linh Dong Ward, Thu Duc District.

At noon on May 21, Chien picked up a magnetic card for parking at the apartment building and gave it to Sang to check, and it was found to be still valid. The two discussed a plan to use this card to steal residents' vehicles parked in the parking lot.

That same evening, after work, the two went to pick up the Exciter motorbike of Mr. Truong Nguyen Hoai B., who lives at the above-mentioned apartment building. When they arrived at the card control counter, taking advantage of the opportunity when many vehicles were coming in and out, the security guard did not have time to observe, but only heard the "beep" sound of Sang's magnetic card being swiped on the machine, so he let the two of them ride through without paying attention to the license plate number or who the owner was.

After getting the car, both of them took it to another apartment building in Phu Nhuan district to park it and returned to the apartment building the next morning to work as usual. Even when Mr. B. discovered the car was missing and reported it to the security guard, Sang and Chien were still very calm and took note of the incident.

However, due to the lack of satisfactory resolution, on May 24, the victim went to the local police to report the incident. Through investigation and inspection of the apartment building's security camera system, the police discovered that Chien and Sang were involved and invited them to the headquarters. Faced with undeniable evidence, both admitted to stealing Mr. B's motorbike.

Thu Duc District Police have recovered the car to return it to its owner. Through property valuation, the car is worth about 45 million VND.
