Dao Quang Khanh's lawyer stated that Khanh was released from prison four months early due to good behavior.

On the evening of April 17th, speaking with Zing.vn, lawyer Nguyen Anh Thom of the Hanoi Bar Association stated that Dao Quang Khanh (a defendant in the "Cat Tuong Cosmetic Clinic" case) had been released from prison early.

According to lawyer Thơm, Khánh was released from prison on March 22nd. “Khánh has reformed well and is entitled to leniency from the law. Khánh was released from prison four months early. Currently, Khánh is learning hairdressing from a relative,” lawyer Thơm said.

Lawyer Thơm added that Khánh had called to inform her at noon on April 17th, sounding excited, and said he would try his best to work hard to support his struggling family.

Dao Quang Khanh was sentenced by the court to 33 months in prison for two offenses: "Violating corpses, graves, and remains" and "Theft of property".

Khánh was convicted in connection with the case of Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Tường, Director of Cát Tường Cosmetic Clinic, who disposed of the body of Ms. Lê Thị Thanh Huyền (from Hoàn Kiếm, Hanoi).

According to the case details, on the night of October 19, 2013, after performing liposuction that resulted in Ms. Huyen's death at Cat Tuong Cosmetic Clinic, Dr. Nguyen Manh Tuong and Dao Quang Khanh disposed of Ms. Huyen's body in the Red River.

Both were arrested just three days after committing the crime. After a long search, in mid-July 2014, Ms. Huyen's body was found.

In early December 2014, the Hanoi People's Court handed down a first-instance verdict, sentencing the defendant Tuong to a total of 19 years in prison for two crimes: "Violating the sanctity of corpses, graves, and remains" and "Violating regulations on medical examination, treatment, production, compounding, dispensing, sale of drugs, or other medical services." Khanh was sentenced to 33 months in prison as mentioned above.

However, the defendant Tuong appealed the first-instance judgment. On September 11, 2015, the appellate court rejected Nguyen Manh Tuong's appeal and upheld the first-instance judgment.
