Barca surpasses Real in revenue for the first time.

The financial report for the 2015-2016 season shows that Barca earned as much as 679 million euros.

Sources from Barca reported on October 12th that 679 million euros is an unprecedented revenue figure in the club's history.This achievement is thanks to their double victory in La Liga and the Copa del Rey.

Meanwhile, even if Real Madrid win the Champions League, they will only earn around 620 million. This is the first time Barca have surpassed their rivals in terms of earnings in a single season. For the past 11 years, Real Madrid have consistently been the highest-earning football club in the world.

In the 2016-2017 season, Barca continued to set incredibly high revenue targets at 695 million. Meanwhile, Real maintained their target at 620 million.

Thanks to their strong revenue, Barca and Real are currently the two highest-paying football clubs in the world, with salaries often accounting for 60-70% of their revenue.

Coupled with the ability to pay high salaries, the two teams have achieved comparable success. For the past three years, Real and Barca have taken turns winning the Champions League.
