Two individuals arrested for trafficking 200 kg of firecrackers.

On December 1, 2021, the Dien Chau District Police (Nghe An province) announced that they are currently holding two suspects, Nguyen Van Kien (born in 1983) and Nguyen Van The (born in 1975), both residing in Dien Chau town, Dien Chau district, on charges of trading prohibited goods.

Previously, through investigative work, the Dien Chau District Police discovered that two individuals, Nguyen Van Kien and Nguyen Van The, showed suspicious signs related to the illegal trade of firecrackers. After a period of monitoring and gathering evidence, at approximately 10 PM on November 28, 2021, in the Dong Ganh area of ​​Nam Tien Tien hamlet, Dien Kim commune, Dien Chau district, the task force caught Nguyen Van Kien red-handed for the crime.trading in prohibited goods.

At the scene, the police seized 05 sacks containing 200 kg of firecrackers. During the expanded investigation, the unit arrested Nguyen Van The for the same offense.

At the police station, Kien and The confessed to being accomplices. According to their statements, they purchased the fireworks from an individual residing in Dien Xuan commune, Dien Chau district. After obtaining the "goods," Kien was tasked with selling them, agreeing to split the profits equally. However, they were apprehended by law enforcement before they could sell the fireworks.

Currently, the case is being further investigated by the Dien Chau District Police.
