Arrested 2 subjects who killed someone and fled abroad

On July 12, 2023, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police is temporarily detaining two suspects, Ho Ngoc Sao (born in 1986) and Nguyen Van The (born in 1994), both residing in Hung Phuc commune, Hung Nguyen district (Nghe An province), to investigate the act of murder.

Earlier, in the early morning of May 9, 2023, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police received a report from Hung Nguyen District Police with the following content: At around 9:00 p.m. on May 8, 2023, while drinking beer at a restaurant in Chau Nhan Commune, Hung Nguyen District, Mr. Nguyen Xuan H. (born in 1980), residing in Phu Thanh Hamlet, Hung Thanh Commune, Hung Nguyen District, and some friends had a conflict with two young men residing in another commune who were also drinking beer at the restaurant. As a result, Mr. H. was stabbed and slashed many times by these two young men. After that, the two young men fled the scene. Mr. H. was taken to the emergency room by local people, however, at 3:00 a.m. on May 9, 2023, Mr. H. died.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police presided over and coordinated with Hung Nguyen District Police and related units to conduct a crime scene investigation, autopsy and investigation.pursuitThe same day, the Investigation Police Agency of the Provincial Police (Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police) issued a Decision to prosecute the case of "Murder" to investigate, clarify and handle according to the provisions of law.

After establishing the project, on May 9, 2023, the Project Board summoned the subjects related to the case. During the initial investigation, the police identified two subjects, Ho Ngoc Sao (born in 1986) and Nguyen Van The (born in 1994), both residing in Hung Phuc commune, Hung Nguyen district, as the two suspects who directly stabbed and slashed, leading to the death of Mr. Nguyen Xuan H. Notably, after committing the crime, both of these subjects left the locality and then illegally crossed the border to escape abroad.

After a period of synchronous implementation of professional measures, the Special Task Force arrested two subjects Ho Ngoc Sao and Nguyen Van The to investigate the murder. The seized evidence included a knife as the murder weapon, a motorbike and some other evidence related to the special task.

At the police station, the subjects admitted their crimes.

Currently, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police is handling the case in accordance with the provisions of law.
