Two suspects arrested for murder and fleeing abroad.
(Baonghean.vn) - Ho Ngoc Sao and Nguyen Van The, two suspects in the murder case (May 8, 2023) in Chau Nhan commune, Hung Nguyen district, Nghe An province, had fled to Cambodia. After nearly 60 days of searching, the two suspects were arrested for investigation into the murder.
On July 12, 2023, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police is holding two suspects, Ho Ngoc Sao (born in 1986) and Nguyen Van The (born in 1994), both residing in Hung Phuc commune, Hung Nguyen district (Nghe An province), under criminal detention for investigation into the crime of murder.
Earlier, in the early morning of May 9, 2023, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police received a report from Hung Nguyen District Police stating that: At approximately 9 PM on May 8, 2023, while drinking beer at a restaurant in Chau Nhan commune, Hung Nguyen district, Mr. Nguyen Xuan H. (born in 1980), residing in Phu Thanh hamlet, Hung Thanh commune, Hung Nguyen district, along with some friends, had a conflict with two young men from another commune who were also drinking beer at the same restaurant. As a result, Mr. H. was stabbed and slashed multiple times with a knife by these two young men. Afterward, the two men fled the scene. Mr. H. was taken to the hospital by local residents, but he died at 3 AM on May 9, 2023.
Immediately after receiving the report, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police, in coordination with Hung Nguyen District Police and other relevant units, conducted a scene investigation, autopsy, and investigation.arrestThe perpetrators were identified. On the same day, the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Provincial Police (Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province) issued a decision to initiate a "Murder" case for investigation, clarification, and handling in accordance with the law.
After establishing the special investigation, on May 9, 2023, the investigation team summoned the individuals involved in the case. Initial investigations by the police identified two suspects, Ho Ngoc Sao (born in 1986) and Nguyen Van The (born in 1994), both residing in Hung Phuc commune, Hung Nguyen district, as the two individuals who directly stabbed and slashed Nguyen Xuan H. to death. Notably, after committing the crime, both suspects left the area and then illegally crossed the border to flee abroad.
After a period of coordinated investigative measures, the special task force successively arrested two suspects, Ho Ngoc Sao and Nguyen Van The, for investigation into the crime of murder. The seized evidence included a knife (the murder weapon), a motorcycle, and other items related to the case.
At the police station, the suspects admitted to their crimes.
Currently, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police is handling the case in accordance with the law.
