Arrested 2 subjects stealing electric cable worth nearly 1 billion VND
Two subjects stole three rolls of electric cable worth nearly 1 billion VND from Vietnam Electricity Construction Corporation and sold them for 400 million VND.
Dak Lak Provincial Police said that the unit is temporarily detaining two suspects, Hoang Xuan Hieu (29 years old) and Phan Van Binh (32 years old, both residing in M'Drak district) to investigate the act of "theft of property".

Initial information, due to business losses and debt to many people, on September 18, Hieu discussed with Binh to steal 3 rolls of electric cable worth nearly 1 billion VND from Vietnam Electricity Construction Joint Stock Corporation.
These power cables were gathered at Nui Vong assembly area (village 4, Krong Jing commune, M'Drak district) to construct the 220KV Dak Lak - Khanh Hoa power line.
After committing the act, Hieu and Binh divided the 3 rolls of electric cable into 4 rolls and then contacted a man named Binh, residing in Binh Tan district (HCMC) to sell them for 400 million VND.
At around 3:00 a.m. on September 22, Mr. Binh and many others drove a car to lift 4 rolls of electric cable onto the truck and transported them to Ho Chi Minh City.
After a period of investigation and prosecution, on September 30, the Criminal Police Department of Dak Lak Provincial Police coordinated with M'Drak District Police to arrest 2 suspects and confiscate all 4 rolls of electric cables as evidence of the case.
