Collecting information and clues, Tuong Duong District Police determined that Lau Ba Va and Lau Ba Mua were hiding in Laos. During their hiding, the two men changed their names and frequently changed their hiding places under the guise of being good-natured, hard-working people.
Using synchronous professional measures, the district police determined that the two subjects would return to Vietnam through illegal routes, hiding in deep forests and high mountains to avoid detection by authorities.
After a period of collecting documents and conducting verification, under the direction of the provincial police leadership, at 9:11 p.m. on September 26, 2024, in Tam Hop commune, Tuong Duong district, the district police co-chaired with the provincial police's professional department to successfully arrest Lau Ba Va, while the subject was hiding in the forest.
Then, at 1:18 a.m. on October 8, 2024, in the mountainous area of Tien Tieu village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, Tuong Duong district police presided over and coordinated with Nam Can Border Guard Station (Ky Son district) to successfully arrest Lau Ba Mua, when the subject was intending to visit relatives in Tuong Duong district through the forest.
Currently, the subjects are being handled by Tuong Duong District Police according to the provisions of law.
