(Baonghean.vn) - The Do Luong Police have successfully investigated and cracked case 116T, arresting three suspects who used taxis to steal property.

The police in Do Luong district confiscated nearly 100 stolen items worth over 100 million VND.

The individuals arrested and detained by the police of Do Luong district for theft include: Nguyen Cong Thang (born in 1990), residing in Hamlet 2, Thai Son commune, Do Luong district; Nguyen Van Hoang (born in 1993), residing in Block 5, Do Luong town; and Nguyen Van Trien (born in 1984), residing in Hamlet 1, My Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.

According to a report from the Do Luong District Police, from July 2015 to January 11, 2016, taking advantage of the darkness and the absence of homeowners, Nguyen Cong Thang single-handedly broke locks and burglarized barbershops, car washes, and village cultural centers in the communes of Do Luong District and My Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, committing 10 thefts.

After committing the theft, Thang called Nguyen Van Hoang, a taxi driver with license plate 37A-219.03, to assist in transporting the stolen property. The stolen goods were then sold to Nguyen Van Trien for resale. The Do Luong District Police confiscated nearly 100 items, which were stolen property and evidence in the case, worth over 100 million VND. These included: air compressors, pumps, voltage stabilizers, welding machines, etc.

It is known that Nguyen Cong Thang is a drug addict, is HIV-positive, and has previously attempted rehabilitation but without success.

Currently, the Do Luong Police have returned the aforementioned assets to the victims and completed the dossier to prosecute the suspects before the law.
