Three young men arrested for chasing and killing a man.

After being beaten, a young man in Quang Nam province jumped into the river but was then attacked by a group of people on the bank who threw stones at him, leading to his death.

On the morning of September 18th, the Criminal Police Department of Quang Nam Provincial Police announced that they had carried out an urgent arrest warrant against Le Xuan Duong (born in 1997), Duong Vinh Long (born in 1996), and Pham Huynh Dat (born in 1997, all residing in Tien Canh commune, Tien Phuoc district, Quang Nam province) for investigation in connection with the death of a young man.

According to the investigation, on the evening of September 15th, Nguyen Dinh Phuong (born in 1996, residing in Thanh Tan village, Tien Chau commune, Tien Phuoc district) and several other young men from Tien Chau commune were drinking alcohol at a pub on the Tien River embankment (Tien Phuoc district).

At around 9 PM that same day, two young men from Phuong's group, Nguyen Phuc Quang and Nguyen Van Son, had a conflict with Dat and Tran Van Su (residents of Tien An commune, Tien Phuoc district).

Dat then called his group, including Duong, Long, and some other young men who were drinking, to come and "settle the matter." At this time, Son also called his group to come and "talk" with Dat's group.

However, because Dat's group was larger, Son's group fled. Seeing Phuong running down the strip of land along the embankment bordering the river, Long, Dat, and Duong chased after her. After running a short distance, Phuong jumped into the water and swam to the other side of the Tien River.

When Phuong was about 4 meters from the shore, Long picked up two stones and threw them at her. Dat also threw two stones at Phuong, and Duong threw one stone at her.

At approximately 3 PM on September 16th, residents and authorities discovered Phuong's body in the Tien River.
