The identities of the 7 suspects in this deforestation ring have not been announced by the police because they are still under investigation.

Currently, field work has determined the coordinates of the deforestation area on the Nam Giang border. 41/60 pơ mu trees were cut down in the border area of ​​Nam Giang district, the rest are located in Dac Chung district (Sekong province, Laos).

On July 21, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc issued a document directing the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense and the People's Committee of Quang Nam province to investigate and clarify this serious deforestation case.
