After more than a month of diligently monitoring the movements of the suspects and applying professional measures, the task force has enough records and documents to prove the criminal acts of the group of subjects specializing in stealing dogs in the area.
At about 9:00 p.m. on May 29, 2021, intelligence information showed that a group of subjects specializing in stealing dogs were present at the house of subject Thai Van Thanh (born in 1970), residing in Van Trai hamlet, Long Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district. Immediately, the task force directed secret working groups to approach and arrest the subjects, including: Thai Van Thanh (homeowner - PV); Nguyen Duy Dong (born in 2001), residing in hamlet 3B, Tang Thanh commune and Hoang Dinh Tham (born in 1986), residing in Van Trang hamlet, Long Thanh commune for the act of property theft.

Fighting with the subjects, on May 30, Yen Thanh District Police arrested two more accomplices, Thai Duy Thang, residing in Hamlet 8, Xuan Thanh Commune, and Hoang Dinh Hieu, residing in Van Trang Hamlet, Long Thanh Commune.
Currently, the investigation agency has clarified that Thai Van Thanh is the owner of the dog kennel, and is also the person who provides the motorbikes, gasoline, tools for stealing dogs (fishing rods, electric shocks, knives, and beer bottles - used to fight back if discovered) to the above subjects to carry out the act of stealing dogs. The dogs after being stolen by the subjects are all sold back to Thai Van Thanh at a cheap price.
The method and tricks of this group of subjects to steal dogs are usually carried out in 2 shifts at night (the first shift is near dusk and the second shift is at dawn), avoiding detection by people and authorities. Accordingly, they usually go in pairs, before stealing dogs, they go to Thanh's house to get tools (clothes, electric shock, noose, gasoline bottle, knife, sword...) and then drive together to search all over the area to steal dogs.
After stealing the dog, they called Thanh to come to a deserted place to transport the stolen property. The subjects went to Thanh's house to weigh the dog and calculate the price (Thanh bought each kg of dog for 50,000 VND), at the same time took off their clothes and dog stealing tools, then went home.
