5 bar employees arrested for illegally detaining people
Because he did not have enough money to pay the bill of more than 25 million VND at The Circle bar, Phan Quang Anh and his friend were detained by the bar manager and staff and asked to call their family to pay.

On June 16, Hanoi City Police said that the Investigation Police Agency, Hoan Kiem District Police had issued an emergency arrest warrant and a decision to temporarily detain 5 subjects including: Ngo Quoc Cuong (born 1998), Nguyen Thanh Tung (born 1993), Vu Trong Hung (born 1999), Pham Tien Thinh (born 1991), Tran Quang Ha (born 1999), all residing in Hanoi City, to investigate the act of illegally detaining people.
In addition to Ngo Quoc Cuong, the manager, and Nguyen Thanh Tung, the group leader, the remaining suspects are employees of The Circle bar located at 33 Ma May, Hang Buom ward (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi).
During the investigation, the Investigation Police Agency, Hoan Kiem District Police issued a decision prohibiting Nguyen Thanh Tung (born 2004), also an employee of The Circle bar, from leaving his place of residence.
Previously, on May 27, Mr. Phan Quang Anh, residing in Dong Da district (Hanoi), went with his biological mother, Ms. Ho Thi Tu, to the police station to report being held by a group of people at The Circle bar.
According to the victim's report, on the evening of May 26, Phan Quang Anh and a female friend went to The Circle bar to hang out and use some services.
At around 1:30 a.m. on May 27, the restaurant announced that the bill was over VND25 million. After that, the two did not have enough money to pay, so the restaurant manager and staff detained them and asked them to call their family to pay.
Hoan Kiem District Police are continuing to investigate and clarify the case to strictly handle the subject according to the law./.
