Chief of Staff of the District Party Committee and District People's Committee arrested for gambling.

The provincial police have just arrested the Chief of the District Party Committee and the District People's Committee Office, along with dozens of other individuals in the area, while they were engrossed in gambling.

On the morning of August 11th, in an exchange with reporters, a leader of Nam Dinh province confirmed the information and stated that at approximately 3:00 PM on August 7th, the Nam Dinh Provincial Police raided a family's home in Group 3, Xuan Truong town, Xuan Truong district, arresting dozens of people who were playing dice.

Here, authorities temporarily detained approximately 20 individuals, including two leaders from Xuan Truong district: Mr. Pham Ngoc Toan, Standing Committee member of the District Party Committee and Chief of the District Party Committee Office, and Mr. Pham Van Thuong, Chief of the Xuan Truong District People's Committee Office.

Afterward, all the individuals were taken to the police station for questioning. The case is currently under investigation by the police and will be handled according to the severity of each individual's violation.
