Start receiving registration documents for the 2017 National High School Exam

Starting today (April 1), candidates nationwide begin submitting applications to register for the 2017 national high school exam.

This year's registration period is from April 1 to 20. After April 20, candidates are not allowed to change information about the exam/subject they have registered for.

Students can purchase national high school exam registration forms at high schools, continuing education centers, and local district education offices.

The candidate's file includes: 2 Exam Registration Forms, a photocopy of both sides of the ID card on 1 side of A4 paper; 2 4x6 cm photos and a stamped envelope with the candidate's full name and address clearly written in the file bag according to the form of the Ministry of Education and Training.

After submitting the application, candidates will be given an account and password to log in to the online exam management software at: http://thisinh.thithptquocgia.edu.vn. This account is used to log in to the exam management software from the time of registration to viewing results, considering recognition of high school graduation and considering university and college admission.

From today (April 1), candidates can also look up information related to enrollment of all universities, pedagogical colleges and issues related to exams and enrollment in 2017 through the Ministry of Education and Training's enrollment information portal at http://thituyensinh.vn.

The condition to take the 2017 National High School Exam is to have average or above grade 12 conduct and not be classified as poor.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Bui Van Ga said that information technology will be thoroughly applied in managing data on candidates' registration for exams and university and college admissions. The Ministry has now completed the software for registration for exams and university and college admissions.

“The Ministry’s electronic admission portal has now put up the exam registration and admission application software for departments to train their staff and test the software. In the past few days, the software has been running smoothly, without any problems. On April 1, candidates will begin to complete the exam registration procedures and after that, everything will take place according to the plan and schedule that we have provided in the instruction document,” said Deputy Minister Bui Van Ga.

According to statistics from the Department of Education and Training, in 2017 there will be about 955,000 candidates taking the national high school exam, including independent candidates. Compared to 2016, the number of candidates registering for the exam this year is higher (last year it was 900,000). The 2017 exam will be held from June 21 to 24, in which the actual exam time is 2.5 days (in 2016, the exam took place in 4 days).
