Arrested the subject who brought 16 people from Nghe An to the company to commit fraud under the guise of easy work with high salary
With the trick of easy work and high salary, Ly Van Sang tricked and sold 16 people in Cam Phuc and Con Cuong communes to the Golden Triangle special zones in Laos to work for fraudulent companies. After a period of establishing a special case, Ly Van Sang was quickly arrested by Nghe An police.
On August 17, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province Police announced that it had initiated a case and prosecuted Ly Van Sang (born in 1998), residing in Cam Phuc Commune, Nghe An Province, for human trafficking. This is the result of a special project to combat the crime of "Human Trafficking", chaired by the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province Police, in coordination with related units.
Accordingly, Sang used to work for a company in the Golden Triangle area in Laos. In early 2024, after returning to Vietnam, Ly Van Sang had the idea of tricking and selling people in the communes of the Western region of Nghe An province to the Golden Triangle special zones in Laos to make a profit. Because he used to work in the Golden Triangle area, Sang quickly colluded with subjects across the border to set up a fraud line to trick Vietnamese citizens into being sold to the special zones.

To gain the victims' trust, Sang informed them that the company in Laos was recruiting employees with a salary of 17 million VND/month, including accommodation and meals, and all travel expenses. With the above tricks, from March 2024 to present, Ly Van Sang has tricked and sold 16 people in Cam Phuc and Con Cuong communes to the Golden Triangle special zones in Laos. The victims sold by Sang had to work 17 hours/day with the task of impersonating state agencies to defraud Vietnamese citizens. If they could not defraud money on a day, the victims would be beaten, electrocuted, and not allowed to receive their salaries. Many victims could not bear the pressure of work and fled back to Vietnam.
Sang's actions showed contempt for the law, causing public outrage. In response to this situation, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province Police reported to the leaders of Nghe An Province Police to establish a special investigation. Knowing that he would soon be arrested, Sang fled to the southern provinces.
After a period of monitoring and synchronous application of professional measures, on August 4, 2025, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police and Cam Phuc Commune Police co-chaired and coordinated with Anh Son Commune Police and Phuoc Thanh Commune Police, Da Nang City to successfully crack the case, arresting the subject Ly Van Sang while he was hiding in a dangerous mountainous area of Phuoc Thanh Commune, Da Nang City. At the police station, Sang confessed to all his crimes.
Currently, the case is still being investigated and expanded. The Criminal Police Department informs those who are victims of Ly Van Sang to quickly contact the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Police to coordinate the resolution.
