Around the end of December 2020, through intelligence gathering, the Thai Hoa Town Police discovered that Va Ba Cha (born in 1997), residing in Muong Long village, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district, was a suspect frequently seen in various locations along National Highway 48 and exhibited suspicious behavior related to the illegal transportation, buying, selling, and storage of substances.drug.

Through investigation, the Thai Hoa town police found that this individual regularly collaborated with individuals in Laos to smuggle large quantities of heroin from Laos into Vietnam for distribution in districts along National Highway 48.
