The police in Ky Son district (Nghe An province) have successfully arrested Va Ba Xenh (born in 1983), residing in Tien Tieu village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, who was wanted for the crime.murder".

According to the case file, at approximately 3 PM on March 15, 2010, Va Ba Xenh took a muzzle-loading rifle into the mountainous forest area to hunt. At around 10 PM the same day, on his way back, passing by the house of Mrs. NTH (born in 1963), who lived in the same village, he conceived the idea of ​​stealing her chickens. Subsequently, Va Ba Xenh broke into Mrs. H.'s kitchen to steal the chickens.

While sleeping upstairs, Mrs. H. heard a noise in the kitchen and woke up to check, using a flashlight. Fearing that his chicken theft would be discovered, Va Ba Xenh shot Mrs. H. and then fled.

After gathering sufficient documents and evidence, on April 30, 2010, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Ky Son District Police initiated a criminal case and charged Va Ba Xenh with "murder," issuing an arrest warrant for his temporary detention. However, the suspect absconded. On June 22, 2010, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Ky Son District Police issued a wanted notice for Va Ba Xenh.

After escaping, to avoid being caught by the police, Va Ba Xenh cut off contact with his family and hid in the deep forest. However, due to the intense pursuit by the authorities, Va Ba Xenh fled to Laos. There, Xenh worked as a porter and bricklayer to make a living. He changed his name, frequently moved to different places of residence, and had little contact with people around him.

Following the coordinated implementation of various operational measures, at approximately 5 PM on January 12, 2024, the Nghe An Provincial Police, in collaboration with other relevant agencies, successfully apprehended Va Ba Xenh. The suspect was then escorted to the Ky Son District Police headquarters for further investigation and legal processing.
