A man living in Quang Ngai has repeatedly received money from a number of people abroad to organize livestreams to make statements against the Party and the State.

On April 12, the Investigation Security Agency of Quang Ngai Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute, temporarily detain and search the residence of Le Quoc Hung (born in 1967, residing in Le Hong Phong ward, Quang Ngai city) for the crime of "propaganda and storage of information against the Socialist Republic of Vietnam", as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 117 of the Penal Code.

Previously, the Quang Ngai Provincial Police Department's Internal Security Department discovered that Le Quoc Hung had used many Facebook accounts to livestream content demanding pluralism and multi-party system and insulting President Ho Chi Minh.

During the verification process, the Security Agency investigated and clarified many videos that Hung livestreamed on Facebook with content that distorted the real situation and was provocative.

In addition, Hung has repeatedly received money from a number of anti-Vietnam elements abroad and allowed these elements to regularly participate in livestreams to make statements against the Party and the State.

The case is under further investigation.
