Fraudster arrested upon returning from Tam Thai Tu area.
On April 16th, acting on information from the public, the Dong Quang Commune Police in Thanh Hoa City arrested Nguyen Hoang Anh (born in 2002), a fraudster who had returned from Cambodia.
This individual is also subject to a wanted notice issued by the Lien Chieu District Police, Da Nang City, and the Nam Tu Liem District Police, Hanoi City.
At the Dong Quang Commune Police Station, Nguyen Hoang Anh confessed that between April 2023 and December 2023, due to gambling debts, he committed two fraud cases involving the appropriation of property in Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City and Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi City, totaling nearly 500 million VND.
After committing the crime, Nguyen Hoang Anh fled to Cambodia and continued to participate in the Tam Thai Tu group's fraudulent activities. There, due to not meeting the quotas set by his boss, Nguyen Hoang Anh was frequently beaten and brutally tortured. Unable to bear it any longer, Hoang Anh managed to escape back to Vietnam and was discovered and arrested by the police.
The Dong Quang Commune Police have now handed over Nguyen Hoang Anh to the Da Nang City Police for further investigation and processing in accordance with the law.
