Recently released from prison arrested for illegal possession of narcotics.
On June 22nd, the Command Board of Ngoc Lam Border Guard Station, Nghe An Provincial Border Guard, awarded a "bonus" of 5 million VND to officers and soldiers who participated in the arrest of a suspect for illegally possessing narcotics.
Previously, on June 21st, in Thanh Duong village, Thanh Son commune, Thanh Chuong district, the Ngoc Lam Border Guard Station and the Anti-Drug and Crime Prevention Department (Nghe An Provincial Border Guard) jointly coordinated with the Thanh Son Commune Police, Thanh Chuong district, to detect and arrest Le Dinh Lai (born in 1985), residing in Hanh Lam commune (Thanh Chuong), for illegally possessing narcotics.
The seized evidence included one package of white powder weighing 0.2 grams (the suspect admitted it was drugs).
Le Dinh Lai has a criminal record and has just completed a 9-year prison sentence for "illegally possessing narcotics".
The incident is currently under further investigation.
