Arrest of subject possessing 30 kg of fireworks in border area
A subject illegally storing explosive fireworks has just been arrested by the authorities at Nam Can International Border Gate, Ky Son.
Accordingly, at 10:30 a.m. on December 6, at Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, Nam Can International Border Post; Drug and Crime Prevention Department (Nghe An Border Guard) presided over and coordinated with Nam Can International Border Customs Branch; Ky Son District Police, discovered and arrested Nguyen Van Thai, born in 1993, residing in Nghi Tan Ward, Vinh City, a passenger on the Lao license plate car 7307 of Huyen Binh bus company running from Vinh City to Xieng Khouang (Laos), for the act of "Illegal possession of explosive fireworks".

The seized evidence included more than 30 kg of firecrackers. During the investigation, Nguyen Van Thai confessed that the above evidence was explosive fireworks produced in Thailand, which he bought from a foreign man for 4,000,000 Lao kip (four million Lao kip) for his own use.
Nam Can International Border Guard Station has completed the dossier and continues to coordinate with functional forces to investigate, verify and expand the case for handling according to the provisions of law.
