Arrested subject possessing large amount of crystal meth at motel in Quy Chau

The leaders of the People's Committee of Quy Chau district have just awarded the district police, including the task force, for their achievement in arresting a subject possessing 1kg of crystal meth on January 6, 2018.

According to initial information, at around 5:30 p.m. on January 6, while conducting an inspection in the area, Quy Chau District Police coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police to arrest Le Ba Tai, residing at Group 6, Block 2, Tan Lap Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak for illegally possessing 1kg of crystal meth.

During the initial inspection, the working group discovered on the air conditioner at motel 478, Tan Lac town, Quy Chau 1 yellow plastic bag with Chinese label (according to Tai's statement, it was methamphetamine) and a bag of Vietnamese currency in denominations of 200,000 VND with a total amount of 310 million VND; 1 leather wallet containing 12 million VND and some other items.

This subject confessed that he had found a source and bought 1kg of crystal meth for use. Before he could dispose of it, Tai was discovered and arrested by the authorities. Currently, the authorities continue to investigate and expand the case.

This is the biggest methamphetamine case of Quy Chau District Police ever.
