(Baonghean.vn) - The Crime Prevention Team (Waterway Police Department) has successfully cracked Case No. 126P, arresting one suspect and seizing 21 kg of fireworks.

The Waterway Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police discovered several individuals involved in the buying, selling, storing, and transporting of firecrackers. Among the suspected individuals, Ma Van Lanh (born in 1987), residing in Hamlet 6, Dien Thinh Commune, Dien Chau District, stood out. This individual is a key link in a network supplying firecrackers to individuals in Thai Hoa Town, Quy Hop District, and Vinh City.
The Waterway Police Department launched a special investigation codenamed 126P, determined to dismantle this illegal gambling den. The investigation team, led by the head of the Waterway Police Department along with several experienced officers and soldiers from the Crime Prevention Team, participated in solving the case.

After a long period of surveillance, at 7:30 PM on December 10th, the special task force spotted Lanh leaving his house on a motorbike carrying two white bags. Determining that the suspect intended to transport fireworks for sale, the head of the Criminal Investigation Department decided to crack the case. Detectives quickly followed the suspect. When Lanh left his house and reached Hamlet 1, Dien Thinh Commune, the detectives swooped in.
The seized items included 10 firecrackers (each containing 36 firecrackers) found in the vehicle and 4 bundles of 36 firecrackers hidden under a tree by the roadside.
After documenting the incident, the Crime Prevention Team handed it over to the Dien Chau District Police for further investigation and prosecution of the suspect in accordance with the law.
