Arrest of wanted person through receiving 37 citizens returned by China
On March 6, at Huu Nghi International Border Gate, Cao Loc District, the Immigration Management Department of Lang Son Provincial Police coordinated with the Border Guard Station of Huu Nghi International Border Gate to receive 37 Vietnamese citizens returned by Chinese authorities, including 1 wanted person for theft of property.
The above citizens have permanent residence in many different provinces and cities. Of these, 13 people reside in Lang Son province. These are citizens who have overstayed their visas or previously illegally entered China to seek work and were discovered and arrested by Chinese authorities.

Officers of the Immigration Management Department of the Provincial Police verify the background and exploit information of citizens who illegally leave the country.
During the process of verifying and receiving Vietnamese citizens who are not allowed to reside abroad, the Immigration Department coordinated with the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Lang Son Provincial Police to discover that Lo Van Thao (born in 1999) was wanted by the Investigation Police Agency of Muong Ang District Police, Dien Bien Province since 2019 for the crime of property theft.

After committing the crime, Thao fled to China to work as a hired hand. He was later arrested by Chinese authorities and sentenced to 6 years in prison in Guangdong province for intentionally causing injury. Now, after completing his prison term, the subject has been handed over to Vietnam by the Chinese police.
Lang Son Provincial Police coordinated with functional forces at the border gate to complete procedures and hand over the subject to the Investigation Police Agency of Dien Bien Provincial Police for handling according to the provisions of law.
