Arrested for transporting nearly 30 kg of bird meat of unknown origin

(Baonghean.vn) - The Mobile Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) has just arrested 01 subject transporting bird meat of unknown origin for consumption.

DV: At around 4:30 p.m. on September 22, after receiving a report from the public that a young man was driving a red SYM motorbike with license plate 37B2-09037 transporting bird meat of unknown origin and emitting a foul odor on Nguyen Phong Sac Street (Vinh City), the Mobile Police Department's working group proceeded to verify and clarify.

When discovering the young man driving the above vehicle transporting a white foam box measuring about 40x60cm, about 40cm high and sealed, the working group signaled to stop the vehicle, requested an administrative inspection and determined that the foam box contained bird meat with a total weight of 26kg.

Seized exhibits

At the time of inspection, Mr. Nguyen Van Trung (born in 1990), residing in block 12, Ben Thuy ward, Vinh city, could not present documents proving the origin and quarantine certificate of the above bird meat.

Currently, the CSCĐ Department has prepared a file to transfer the exhibits and vehicles to Vinh City Veterinary Station for handling in accordance with the provisions of law.
