Authorities arrested a suspect transporting nearly 30kg of firecrackers for sale.
(Baonghean.vn) - On January 7th, the Environmental Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police announced that they had successfully dismantled a firework trafficking ring, arresting one suspect and seizing nearly 30kg of fireworks.
Previously, through intelligence gathering, the Environmental Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police discovered a network involved in the buying and selling of goods.firecrackersin Yen Thanh district.
Following operational measures, at approximately 10 PM on January 6, 2022, on the inter-communal road in Phu Xuan hamlet, Do Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, the Environmental Police Department, in coordination with the Customs Control Team (Nghe An Customs Department), Yen Thanh District Police, and Do Thanh Commune Police, apprehended Tran Dinh Thuan (born in 2005), residing in Hamlet 5, Tho Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, for the act of transporting and trading firecrackers.

The seized items included 19 boxes of foreign-made fireworks (weighing 25 kg), one electric motorbike with license plate 37MD2 - 688.02; and one Yamaha motorbike with license plate 37P9 -7894.
At the police station, Tran Dinh Thuan confessed: Thuan and another suspect named Pham Van Minh (born in 2004), residing in Nam Vuc hamlet, Do Thanh commune, were transporting firecrackers for sale. On the way, seeing the police checkpoint, Minh abandoned his motorbike and fled, while Thuan was apprehended.
At 10:00 AM on January 7th, Pham Van Minh surrendered to the police. The case is currently under further investigation.
