After catching a strange bird, people in Nghe An province released it back into the forest.
On October 7th, the Tan Ky Commune Police, in coordination with the Tan Ky Forest Management Unit, handed over a rare Great Hornbill to the Tan Ky Commune People's Committee for release back into its natural environment in accordance with the law.
Previously, on October 3rd, the Tan Ky commune police received a report from Mr. Dinh Duc Dung, born in 1962, residing in Block 1, Tan Ky commune, about the discovery of a strange bird, suspected to be a rare species, flying into his family's garden.


Upon receiving the information, the commune's police task force quickly arrived at the scene to take possession of the bird.
Initial examination identified the bird as a Great Hornbill, belonging to the Order Hornbill, Family Hornbill, with the scientific name Bucerotidae – a species in group IB of the List of Endangered, Rare, and Precious Species issued with Circular No. 27/2025/TT-BNNMT dated June 24, 2025, of the Minister of Agriculture and Environment regulating the management of endangered, rare, and precious species.
